Must-have gear for winter running

By Joyce Law My friends often ask me how I can run in the winter. Actually, winter is my favourite time of year for running because there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices. Here are some tips to help you run through the winter. Hands – Under 5C, I start wearing gloves. When it’s not too cold yet, I’ll just wear dollar store knit gloves – they are great because the knit material provides breathability. Once it gets below -5C, I wear proper running gloves. My fingers get cold really easily though and  when it’s really cold, running gloves aren’t even enough so I might have to invest in some mittens this winter or double up...

What to wear for running in winter

By Joyce Law If you’ve set your sights on tackling some big races in the spring, you might be wondering how you can possibly run and train in this winter weather. Last year, I ran through my first winter and turns out it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, I loved winter running so much that I now prefer winter running over  summer running!
