After five years, I've decided it's time to cross the finish line and close down Run Little Monkey. Thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm and support.
I love race photos. I instinctively pose whenever I see a race photographer on the course. Even if I’m dying during a race, I’ll still muster up a smile. I love race photos so much that I have started to volunteer at races to take free race photos for others. So now I have experience both as a runner and a photographer, here are some tips for getting the best photos of yourself on the run. Run on either side of the course. The photographers are likely on either side of the course. If you are running in the middle, especially if it’s a crowded course, either you will not see them or they will not see you. Strike a...
Oh hi. Remember me? I had started out as the Run Little Monkey run ambassador. I had a triumphant (though painful) finish at the London Royal Parks Half Marathon. And then I. Didn’t. Do. Anything. As I mentioned before, I have been nursing an injury and I really wanted to complete this run. I set a “goal” of under 3:15 – but my real goal was to come in under 3:00. But let me back up… We arrived in London on Friday morning. Run was Sunday. The hotel we stayed in had an amazing bathtub which meant the epsom salts I brought were going to be used up! We did quite a bit of walking around and my hip was throbbing. Really painful. My foot was just...
Hi Run Little Monkey fans! My name is Jennifer and I am thrilled to be Run Little Monkey’s first brand ambassador. I am also a runner (who runs:walks), a foodie (ergo the running), and a lover of travel. I am really excited to share some of my running thoughts with you over the coming months, especially as we are moving into the winter running season (where I’ve set some new goals that we will discuss later)… Today, I am prepping my bags and trying to quash my nerves as I prepare to cross the pond to join the London Royal Parks Half Marathon! I am super excited but totally nervous. See, while I’ve been running for a few years now,...
